LOGINaija Advocacy Visit to ICPC: Strengthening Grassroots Accountability

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement at the grassroots level, Speak Out Africa Initiative (SOAI) paid an advocacy visit to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

The SOAI team, led by Kenneth Eze (Lead Director), and supported by the Programme, Technical, and Thematic Leads, formally presented the LOGINaija pilot report to the Commission and shared updates on achievements recorded across the pilot LGAs: Gwagwalada (FCT), Umuahia North (Abia), and Ibadan South-West (Oyo).

Purpose of the Visit

  • πŸ”— Requesting ICPC inclusion of SOAI in all local governance-related engagements

The delegation was warmly received by the Director of the Systems Study and Review Department, Mr. Olusegun, who represented the Chairman. He praised the LOGINaija initiative as β€œa root-level transformation project,” aligning with ICPC’s five thematic areas under the National Ethics and Integrity Policy:
